Tyoga container is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging located in Tioga, PA. In addition to corrugated packaging, we supply pallets, bulk bags, air bags, and other packaging supplies to help customers with complete packaging solutions. This position is structured to provide support to Tyoga Container’s sales and customer service teams. The role is customer-facing and requires an individual with core values that align with the company’s core values.

Primary Responsibilities
– Manage assigned accounts by supporting new item needs, customer quote request, and processing orders to exceed customer expectations.
– Work with internal departments to ensure order completeness, on-time delivery, and accuracy of orders with timely and effective communication.
– Server as the primary contact responsible for coordinating customer needs with design, sales, scheduling, operations, shipping, etc. to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level.
– Maintain organized files to ensure customer and business needs exceed expectations.
– Process all requests timely and maintain customer inventory levels for warehoused accounts to minimize inventory levels while meeting customer requests timely.
– Support business growth by analyzing sales history and contacting customers to identify opportunities within existing accounts and opportunities to regain lost accounts.
– Support sales development using lead management tools, identified opportunities, and research in target markets to connect with perspective customers and establish communication with key decision makers for opportunities to earn business.
Basic Requirements
– Education to equivalent to high school diploma required
– Strong working knowledge of computer systems including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with cold calls to customers and ability to think quickly when conversations require response to unanticipated topics
– Ability to stay organized in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
– Active listener with strong analytical skills that can handle detail-oriented tasks.
Preferred Requirements
– Collegiate coursework / degrees in business, sales, or market
– Previous experience using automated order entry system.
– Previous experience in the manufacturing sector, containerboard and corrugated packaging industry.
– Interest in career advancement into a sales role with a willingness to travel regional to meet customers
