If you ship by Ocean

The forces that are exerted on freight that is packaged and secured in an ocean container vary greatly from cargo shipped on the rail or over the road.  Cargo in an ocean container is subject to multiple forces.  It is significantly affected by the up & down motion of the vessel. Also, weather can have a huge effect on the sea conditions and can create additional forces through side to side movement, rolling, and pitching. Rarely do these forces act autonomously.  In most cases it is a combination of two or more.  It is important that cargo moving by ship be properly braced, with all voids filled within the container. Often times, a combination of air bags, strapping, and void fillers are used when securing lading for ocean transport. We recommend the Tyoga Guardian level 2 air bag and Tyoga corrugated void fillers.
